Boon Cheng started Yoga practices about 5 years ago, while working in the corporate world. He experienced the deeper teachings of Yoga practices that helped him appreciate the meaning of life. He decided to become a Yoga teacher, so as to reach out to more people to benefit from this ancient healing system. He graduated with International Diploma from International Shivaananda Kendra, India in Mar 2008, and started teaching since then.

Boon Cheng's focus is to use Yogasana practices to guide students to therapeutically heal both their phyiscal and mental bodies, thus aiding them to achieve a balanced life, accordingly to each student's own current set-up. Boon Cheng brings the Yoga poses "alive" by relating the intent of the poses to deal with certain challenges faced in the country's lifestyles, allowing students to feel the differences before and after learning the poses.
