The first step towards a practice is to develop a basic understanding of the purpose of asanas (postures). In addition to physical benefits, it lays the foundation for those who aspire to delve into mental development. It is important to understand that without developing mindfulness towards a physical practice. It is impossible to work towards towards any higher level of consciousness. The challenge is not in the 'final posture', it is negligence in observing the process that compromises the quality of practice. For the body, it improves muscular endurance, strengthens the skeletal system and develops body awareness. And for the mind, it exceptionally helpful for the anxiety driven, develops patience and anger management.
Suitable for all levels. Catering to the beginners. Each week this class studies a set of poses at slower pace. Learn proper alignment, where to focus effort and where to find release. Learn different options for each pose with yoga props. Not just for beginners, a strong yoga practice begins with sturdy fundamentals, this class can fine tune even an advanced practice.
Gentle Yoga is a calming, stress-relieving class to stretch and strengthen the body gradually. Empahsis on building awareness of the breath and the body. Asanas are practiced at a slower pace with attention to alignment and detail.
A class that emphasizes the correct and safest way to do a posture.
A restorative yoga sequence typically involves only five or six poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Held for 5 minutes or more, restorative poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends.
HATHA YOGA FOR BEGINNERS
This class will improve your strength and balance with beginner yoga poses, strengthen your foundation and calm your mind.
Easy Stretch is a simple and efficient class for beginners to start off in their journey of health. This class is great for people who have ailments and health issues. Attendees will also learn efficient techniques to instantaneously improve their flexibility, mobility and daily maintenance exercises. Advance practitioners can also attend this class to relax the body.
Vinyasa refers to "breathe-synchronized movements". Vinyasa classes are made up of a series of Sun-Salutation postures and includes challenging variations to different postures. Generally helps to promote body strength.
VINYASA LEVEL 2
This practice is for intermediate yoga practitioners. Students must have a background in Vinyasa yoga before attending Level 2. Vinyasa Level 2 involves transition movements, intermediate postures, inversions and arm balances.
A dynamic practice with longer holds. The class is focused on breath awareness and technique. Building up to a single peak or few peak poses. Arm balancing and inversions included. Suitable for students with some yoga practice and looking to refine their practice. Options will be given.
CARDIO & CORE
A dynamic and energetic form which basically improves cardio vascular functioning and stimulates the core of the body. It helps to heal and detoxify the body. This practice emphasizes on the heart, lungs, abs, back, hips and pelvis.
Upside - Down class is all about getting into inversions. There is a theoretical concept in yoga about why inversion postures help. Ayurveda considers that many of the body's impurities are in the lower abdomen. When we raise our feet above the head, gravity is assisting us to move these impurities towards what Ayurvedic system calls "Agni" or "Fire". Agni relates to our 'digestive fire' and is thus located above our lower abdomen. So, by being upside down and by using deep and slow breathing typical of yoga, we help 'burn off' the impurities that were previously stuck.
KETTLEBELL & TRX
This class combines Kettlebell and TRX that will give fast results for strength, endurance and muscle toning by challenging both the muscular and cardiovascular systems with dynamic, total body movements.
On the Yoga Wheel class you will learn how to safely backbend, increase flexibility, breaths deeply in the postures, increase blood flow, and learn how to use the wheel to deepen your practice.
Yoga Therapy is a healing and therapeutic class that focuses on releasing tension and/or pain in specific areas of the body that arises from our habits and day to day activities. The class will focus on different part of the muscles such as neck, shoulder, back, hips and knees to improve range of motion, mobility and flexibility of the body. Breathing exercises will also be introduced to help bring mind to body connection and realign the imbalances.
This class is great for individuals who wish to heal their body from past injuries or for those who experience anxieties and fatigue from the stresses of everday life.
Yin Yang is the combination of dynamic postures 'Yang' with a passive holding practice 'Yin'. The Yang part of class is focused on building strength and flexibility of the physical body. The Yin part of the class is focused more on a reflective mental practice via long stationary holds. The structure of the practise may differ from class to class. Suitable for all levels.
Ashtanga Yoga is considered a more rigorous style of practice which helps in building strength, flexibility and stamina.
Detox Flow Yoga allows practitioners to be familiar with the standard poses of Vinyasa Flow Yoga. This practice is a mind-body-spirit immersion that explores: Meditations & Reflections for releasing stagnant mental patterns. Sun Salutations & other effective poses - unique movement combinations that stimulate the circulatory & lymphatic systems and help clear out toxins. Guided instructions for building your practice - from proper alignment & breathing to more powerful and fluid sequences.
A selection of yoga postures that focuses on stretching. A beneficial class for beginners and advance practitioners. Hot stretch classes will be conducted in a heated room.
Yoga postures combine fitness principles of isometric holds, repetition and interval work to challenge and strengthen the body and mind. While the focus of the class is building strength and fitness, there will be time allocated to stretching the muscles and a well deserved Savasana at the end.
A great class to increase flexibility , strength and overall energy level.
The Flow class is designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending, arm balancing, and focus on the breath awareness.
DEEP STRETCH & BODY OPENING
Yoga postures for deep stretching of body combined with breathing patterns which facilitates deep stretch. Class is beneficial to improve flexibility and mobility in movements.
TRX Suspension Training used your body weight and center of gravity to build functional strength, and improve balance and core stability. It is beneficial for people of every training level. The dynamic execise program integrates strength and balance, which make for faster results.
